Rydal Group Acquires Telecom Client Contracts from Telecom2

Peterborough, UK – 17th June 2025

From 1st June 2025, Rydal Group has acquired the fixed-line telecom client contracts from Telecom2. This is an asset acquisition not a purchase of the Telecom2 business.

Telecom2 remains active and is now focused solely on wholesale channel delivery. As part of this strategic shift, they’ve transferred their fixed-contract client base to Rydal Group, choosing our direct business arm as the right long-term home for those customers.

The reason is simple: while Telecom2’s platform has delivered consistent service, future innovation on it has reached a ceiling. By transitioning the clients to Rydal they’ve created a path that offers both continuity and access to a more modern, feature-rich platform for those who want it in the future. 

Clients will continue using their current setup with no disruption. Rydal Group is now responsible for account management, billing, and support. Our UK-based telecom and IT teams are in place, and each client will be introduced to a dedicated account manager in the coming weeks.

Over time, we’ll offer the option to upgrade to our advanced cloud VoIP and unified communications platform. It includes omni-channel communication by default – with WhatsApp, Facebook, SMS, live chat and email – all managed in one platform. The system is built for modern business communication, and clients can choose to migrate when ready.

Clients also gain access to our wider service catalogue, including Teams integration, mobile, SD-WAN, leased lines, cyber security and full IT support. All backed by over 100 UK-based staff, our in-house ISP, and data centre based.
