Rydal Teams up with ‘The Big Goal’ for Homeless Youth

Peterborough, UK – 11/01/2024

In an inspiring act of corporate responsibility and community engagement, Rydal Group is excited to announce its participation in the transformative charity initiative, ‘The Big Goal’. This collaboration marks a significant step in the ICT Channel, uniting companies across the industry in a shared mission to combat youth homelessness.

About The Big Goal Initiative

Giacom’s ‘The Big Goal’ is a pioneering effort in collaboration with The Street Soccer Foundation, a nationally acclaimed charity supported by clubs from the Premier League and English Football League. This groundbreaking program targets young individuals aged 18 to 30 who are currently homeless or at risk, including ex-offenders, the long-term unemployed, and those not in education, employment, or training (NEETs). The collective aim of The Big Goal’s founding members is ambitious yet vital: to rescue 1,600 young people from the streets and facilitate their transition into meaningful employment.

Rydal’s Commitment to Change

Rydal’s sponsorship is more than just a monetary contribution; it is a commitment to change lives. This support will enable up to 10 young people from our local community to participate in The Street Soccer Foundation’s National Academy program. The Academy offers a comprehensive 10-week course, blending football coaching, mindset training, and soft skills development workshops, designed to empower and inspire participants.

Rydal – Champions on and off the Field

As a founding member of The Big Goal, Rydal is proud to announce its participation in the initiative’s 5-a-side football tournament. The company will enter a team of 10, encouraging participation from both men and women. This exciting tournament will feature regional competitions held at prestigious professional football club facilities across the country, culminating in a national final at the renowned St George’s Park. The regional tournaments are scheduled for Fridays throughout April, with the finals set for the summer of 2024. Exact dates and locations will be announced in due course.

Joining Hands for a Noble Cause

Rydal’s involvement in ‘The Big Goal’ is a testament to our belief in the power of community and the transformative impact of sports. We stand united with our industry peers in this noble cause, striving to make a real difference in the lives of young people at risk.
